Rafting is a very exciting sport, but also a hard one. You are not on a boat floating in calm waters; you are in an inflatable vessel cutting through fast and powerful streams. Maneuvering around them is tricky and takes a lot of skills and team work.
Open water swimming can be dangerous, no doubt, if you don’t know what you’re doing. But you can easily find out and apply certain strategies that will help you overcome the fear and anxiety you feel when even imagining yourself surrounded by nothing but water for miles.
It’s cold outside for open water swimming but that shouldn’t stop you from practicing your favorite sport. Indoor pools are a good substitute.
