Video: Kamchatka Surf Pioneers

Follow an intrepid, quirky mission to find waves on Russia's frontier
Staff Writer

Last week, six Patagonia-sponsored surfers set off for Russia's remote, volcano-dotted Kamchatka Peninsula to seek out big waves and fly fish for salmon. It's definitely not your average surf trip—more like a full-on expedition. Expect some awesome visuals from the trip, as surf photog Chris Burkard, transient designer Foster Huntington and Korduroy TV photographer Cyrus Sutton are part of the grew, which also includes Patagonia surf ambassadors Keith Malloy and Trevor Gordon and pro surfer Dane Gudauskas. Follow their progress—and prepare to be jealous for plenty of stoke—on Patagonia's sweet blog, The Cleanest Line.
