Top Frontside Skis 2013: Atomic Crimson Ti

For aggressive groomer runs, but without sacrificing ski-anywhere fun
Staff Writer

The Crimson Ti, with its 88mm waist, is the fattest ski in our line-up, allowing it to excel off-trail. But, if you're willing to ride it aggressively, this sturdy, powerful ski will also carve groomers ably at very high speeds, thanks to two titanium layers and vertical sidewalls underfoot. The Crimson is versatile—nearly as technical as a race ski, but with the go-anywhere spirit of an all-mountain ski that makes it a hell of a lot more fun.

Best For: Aggressive skiers who feel most at home on groomers, but aren't shy around powder.
