Ski through Summer

Resorts where snow (almost) never melts

Digital Vision/ThinkStock

Don’t stow your snow gear yet—Alyeska Resort, just 40 miles from Anchorage, AK, operates through April and weekends in May, weather permitting. The snow is still falling, and with 16 hours of daylight and mild, 40-degree average temps, it’s the perfect place to get in the season’s final turns. In the lower 48, California’s Mammoth Mountain stays open straight through Memorial Day, if not later, with a deep Sierra snowpack of spring corn.
