Ron was born and raised in Holland, having spent most of his life in the Netherlands, Germany and France. By the time he was 21 he'd explored a good portion of Europe and was fluent in Dutch, German, French and English. Since then he's learned Spanish and Italian. Without a language barrier, Ron has access to people, places and a true insider's perspective which he shares with every guest. He's always been fascinated with European history and her various cultures - each intertwined and yet different in so many ways. After graduating from college in the States, he spent 7 months biking through Southern and Eastern Europe. It was then that he realized there's no better way to explore Europe than along her back roads on the seat of a bike. Ron got into the biking/travel business in 1983, and is proud to say he hasn't stopped pedaling since!
