Edgy women’s sports apparel brand Oiselle has hit the fashion runway in New York for a second year to launch the new lines of clothing in its Spring 2015 collection.

The Seattle-based company broke new ground in the fashion industry last year not just by being the first sports apparel brand to show at the Nolcha Fashion Week in New York, but also by including some its sponsored elite athletes along with professional runway models in its show.

This year, it went all out. All ten of its models in its four-minute show were its athletes, led off by former U.S. 5,000 meters champion Lauren Fleshman (left).

Olympian Kara Goucher (above, right), elite hammer thrower Britney Henry, 800 meters specialist Kate Grace and middle-distance runner Lauren Penny also lent their bodies to the cause — taking "feminine fierce to new heights," the company wrote on its Twitter feed. A bare-footed Goucher (Skechers is her shoe sponsor) showed off the company's new elite racing kit.

The response on social media was enthusiastic. The full Oiselle runway team can be seen here on the company's Instagram feed.

Goucher will debut the new racing kit competitively at the Rock’n’Roll Half-Marathon in Philadelphia on Sept. 21, and also run the 2014 TCS New York City Marathon in it next month.
