Nearly half of Americans sleeping 7 to 8 hours a night reported feeling tired or fatigued up to three times a week.

The reason why so many people don’t feel rested may have nothing to do with the quality or quantity of sleep they are getting.

Don’t underestimate what lethargy can do to your overall health. Many people suffer from mood swings; some gain weight; others find it harder to get motivated at work or at home.

Frustration can settle in while you are trying to balance the need for more sleep with the need to spend time with friends and family or be more productive.

When tiredness is not relieved by enough shuteye, good nutrition, or a low-stress environment, it should be evaluated by a health professional
