How To Get Abs Like Gwen Stefani In 28 Days

  2. An even more kick ass diet plan. Abs are made in the kitchen!

The Workout:

28 Day Flat Belly Formula

Ok, here is a taste of an Xceleration Style Workout. Check the video at the bottom for any questions.

Dirty 30 ABS Version 2.0 

1 A) Irregular Plank Holds 

Easier = Regular Plank Hold

Harder = Sprawl Plank

Hardest = Extended Plank

2 A) Hanging Side Plank Hold 

Easier = Regular Hanging Hold

Harder = Leg Elevated

Hardest = Knee Pumping

Go for :30 seconds at the Plank hold, REST for :30 seconds and then move to the Hanginig Side Plank Hold for :30 seconds REST for :30 seconds then repeat!

Repeat for 2 rounds

1 B) Hanging Stability Ball Raise 

2 B) 360 Towel Abs 

30 seconds on, 30 seconds off

Repeat for 2 rounds

1 C) Band Walk Outs 

2 C) Reverse Lunge w/lean

30 seconds on, 30 seconds off

Repeat for 2 rounds

1 D) V-Sit Hold 

2 D) TRX Walk Backs 

30 seconds on, 30 seconds off

Repeat for 2 rounds

1 E) Seated Figure 8’s 

2 E) Seated Back Strokes 

30 seconds on, 30 seconds off

Repeat for 2 rounds

The Diet Plan:

Change your lifestyle and change your abs. Here are 7 quick tips you can start right now to start revealing those abs you have under your skin.

1) Give The Signal

Yeah I said it. Eat dessert. Why? It sends a signal to your brain that the meal is over. You start to relax and you eat less. Now you have to be smart about this! Pick high quality dark chocolate. I’m talking like 1-2 pieces max!!! Don’t over step your bounds with this one.

2) Eat Fiber

We don’t eat enough of this stuff. Did you know we are supposed to get at least 32 g of this stuff per day? You are probably nowhere near that are you… digestion, skin health, blood sugar control and heart health are just a few benefits of fiber. Start eating more plants, veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds and watch your belly shrink!

3) Get It Hot!

Are you a fan of peppers? I sweat like crazy when I eat hot stuff it’s kind of embarrassing but I suck it up because I love the taste AND hot peppers are packed with this awesome stuff called capsaicin. This stuff is awesome. It adds that flavor you love and it temporarily kicks up your metabolism… Win-Win!

4) Eat Clean/Go organic

The key to eating clean? Clean your cupboards. I do this with every single one of my clients looking to flatten their stomach. Take out all of the junk food and either donate it or throw it out. 5) Eat The Skin

My wife always leaves the skin and it drives me nuts. Whenever we eat sweet potatoes she never eats the skin! That skin is packed with the fiber and flavonoids that are super healthy for the gut and heart. Keep the skin on!

6) Cheat A Little Bit

Yep. It’s called a cheat night. Why do it? Insulin sensitivity. You see when you eat a clean and healthy diet with limited carbohydrate intake your body becomes more sensitive to insulin. That’s a good thing. I prescribe my clients 1 cheat night/week. Pick a night like Saturday night. If you worked out at least 5 times that week and had clean eating all week allow yourself to eat like a pig for 4 hours. Boom! Your body will ignite a fire and will send your metabolism into overdrive! All good stuff for you to get your belly flat.

7) Cut The Cheese

I know cheese has its benefits in a diet. It does pack some calcium, potassium and zinc but I think as americans we eat way too much cheese. A few years back I took a big chunk of cheese out of my diet. What did I notice? More revealed abs and the fact that giving it up was way easier than I expected. Cheese can sit around for awhile as it can be really tough for the body to break down. Start small and slowly take some cheese out of your diet. You will be shocked at how easy it is.

So there you have it! Do this workout 2-3x/week in addition to your regular training program and watch the fat melt off your belly!
