Eating out is a wonderful way to spend time with your family and socialize with your friends. We eat at restaurants to celebrate special occasions and to simply get away from our normal routine and experience a different ambionce.
Although eating out can be an amazing experience, it’s important to refrain from making it a habit. Not only will you spend tons of money but you will put yourself at risk for unhealthy food choices. People tend to eat much more when they are out, possibly due to portion sizes. They also end up eating foods that could potentially harm their health, and their waistline.
Stay away from diet soda; it has been linked to the development of metabolic syndrome and obesity. In fact, a study conducted by the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio concluded, people who drank two or more diet sodas a day had waist sizes that were six times bigger than those who didn’t drink diet soda.
Also, while it may be more expensive to order bottled water, tap water should be avoided at all costs. It may be contaminated and contain bacteria that is harmful to your body.
