Fitness Tip of the Day: Use Your Body

Bodyweight workouts are an excellent alternative to the gym

Ever want to work out, but don’t feel like getting dressed and driving to the gym? Not a problem, because one of the best pieces of equipment in your own home that you might not know about is your own body!

Bodyweight training can help increase your strength and is a good overall indicator of your strength. Exercises like planks, lunges, squats, push-ups, sit-ups, crunches, dips, step/stair-ups, pull-ups, etc. are all fantastic ways to help improve your strength and burn calories while doing it.

So, the next time you want to train but don’t want to drive to the gym, start performing some bodyweight exercises, it’s a lot harder than you think!
