Give your body and mind a distraction-free break


This tip isn’t just for you; it’s for me as well. Technology can over take our lives. What’s the last thing you look at before bed and the first thing you reach for when you wake up (minus your significant other, maybe)?

If you are like me, it is your cell phone. This dependency on having social media, news, weather and everything else right at our finger tips can lead us to miss out on things.

I’m not saying leave the phone behind on your next hike, but at least put it in your backpack so you don’t have it in your hand the entire time. You will be able to appreciate nature better, your senses will sharpen, and you will once again be able to provide your body and mind with a well deserved, distraction-free break.
