Fitness Tip of the Day: Keep Your Concentration

Don't let distractions at the gym get in the way of your workout


When you are working out at the gym, it's a good idea to pop in your headphones and really focus on your workout. 

Not only will this save you a ton of time by speeding up the workout, but it can increase the intensity (increasing EPOC effect) and really helps you concentrate on the muscle group/s being worked (hopefully increasing hypertrophy).

The gym is a great place to meet and catch up with friends, but in many instances that leads to 30-45 minutes of talking and before you know it you have to be home. Instead, hit the workout hard and fast, concentrate and get it over with. By doing this you will have plenty of time after your workout to catch up with friends!
