Fitness Tip of the Day: An Easy Way to Curb Cravings

A new study found spinach extract to be a helpful tool for avoiding junk food cravings


We all have cravings and urges when it comes to food; often, these urges are what can lead us astray from healthy eating habits. 

Sometimes self control is easy, but sometimes we get an overwhelming urge for junk food and it all comes crashing down.

However, recent research out of Sweden found that consuming spinach extract (thylakoids) can help stop these urges and cravings. The study's participants consumed 5 grams of spinach extract before breakfast and carried on with their balanced three-meals-a-day diet. The results showed that those who consumed the extract lost 43 percent more weight and were able to decrease their cravings for junk food 95 percent more than those that did not consume the extract.
